Mercedes-Benz GLC SUV Earns 2017 Top Safety Pick

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has a given the 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC its top safety award. To earn a Top Safety Pick, the Mercedes-Benz GLC passed the collision test, was able to avoid collisions and was praised for its headlights.

With a mix of aluminum and high strength steel, it is lighter than other SUVs but provides a rigid passenger safety compartment surrounded by deformation zones. In five crashworthiness tests, the GLC SUV received "good ratings" and its three-point safety belts with belt tensioning and belt-force limitation helped keep the driver and the passenger safe.

The GLC SUV received a "superior" rating for front crash prevention when tested at both 12 and 25 miles per hour. The optional static and dynamic LED headlights were also noted in the safety award.

Not only is the GLC safe to drive, but it also looks great too. See the Mercedes-Benz GLC at Atlanta Classic Cars. Our experienced staff can arrange a test drive and help you find the right one for you.
