GEORGIA CENTER FOR CHILD ADVOCACY'S CHEER FOR CHILDREN BALL WILL BE HELD FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 11
ATLANTA - The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy announced the date for its annual fundraiser, the Cheer for Children Ball.  The 16th annual fundraiser will be held Friday, November 11, from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in the Grand Atrium at 200 Peachtree Street.
"As we enter our 25th year of service to the community we celebrate all that we have accomplished," said Nancy Chandler, CEO of the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy.  "We have provided direct services to more than 12,000 children and we just would not be able to do this work without the incredible support of the community. The people of Atlanta are very generous, and by sharing in this event, we will be able to continue our work for vulnerable children."
The Cheer for Children ball is a sophisticated evening of live entertainment, incredible décor by Kimberley Ichter of Kimberley Cary Event Design, scrumptious food tastings and a luxury auction emceed by Dean Crownover, legendary auctioneer.  All funds raised go directly to the Georgia Center for Child Advocacy, which works tirelessly to help treat and prevent child abuse within our state. Each year the ball attracts more than 400 of Atlanta's top professionals, business leaders and philanthropists.  Inspired by childhood memories of simpler days gone by, the theme for this year's ball will be "Remember When?"
The evening's cuisine will be created by selected chefs from the American Culinary Federation's (ACF) Greater Atlanta Chapter under the direction of the incredible Chef Michael Deihl.  The Rupert's Orchestra, Atlanta's premier party band, will be the entertainment at the Ball.  In years past the silent and live auctions have astounded guests with luxurious items and the tradition will continue this year.  Guests will be able to bid on fine wines, gourmet food, luxury travel packages, stylish jewelry, coveted sports and concert tickets and much more.
Corporate sponsorships and individual tickets ($150 per person) are available and may be purchased at www.cheerforchildren.org
About The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy
The Georgia Center for Child Advocacy is a private, non-profit agency that was established in 1987. The Center's mission is to champion the needs of sexually and severely physically abused children through prevention, intervention, therapy and collaboration. The Center provides a safe, friendly place where a child can end their silence by telling a trained therapist about the abuse during a videotaped interview. In addition, children and families are offered long-term psychological treatment to provide healing and hope for the future. The Center coordinates with agencies involved in the investigation of physical and sexual abuse and offers education for professionals and adults in sexual abuse prevention.  For more information, visit www.georgiacenterforchildadvocacy.org
